Dear Colleagues,
Please find the documents which you have to use at the LEN Clubs Competitions games.
We reminding you about the completing process and where the documents have to be sent after the games.

GUIDELINES FOR THE TECHNICAL MEETING

1. INTRODUCTION
1.1 Name of LEN Competition
1.2 Date and place
1.3 Teams
1.4 LEN officials for game/tournament (referees and delegate)

2. TECHNICAL INFORMATIONS
2.1 Organization, hospitality (if it is OK, thanks to organizer. If something is not good,
speak with the organizers to correct mistakes)
2.2 Side of benches (white caps team-left side from jury table, blue caps team-right side
from jury table)
2.3 Caps color (must be different from each other, make control on Technical meeting).
Spare caps, identical with the competition ones, must be ready to be given to the
player which lost the cap on the Referee request
2.4 Number of players (total 13, 2 goalkeepers and 11 field players for single and game on
Tournament). For the Tournament 15 players can be present at the Technical meeting.
2.5 Number of officials on the bench (3 officials on the bench, uniformly dressed in long
pants, closed shoes and shirts or polo shirts. 2 persons of medical staff can stay in pool
deck area but not on the bench)
2.6 Duration of the game and breaking time between quarters (4 quarters of 8 minutes
with breaking time of 2 minutes between 1-2 and 3-4 and 3 minutes between 2-3
quarter)
2.7 Consequences of result on single game (victory-3 points for winner, draw 1 point for
each team and 0 points for looser)
2.7.1 Consequences of aggregate score on home and away games and penalty shootout
procedure (check LEN regulations, penalties under WP 12.3)
2.7.2 Final ranking on Tournaments and consequences (check LEN regulations)
2.8 Balls for game (7 official balls KAP7, same size and with proper air pressure)
2.9 Timeouts (2 timeouts per Team in the game)
2.10 Position of bathrobes and bags during the game (must be on proper place for that, not
everywhere in pool deck)

3. BEHAVIOUR
3.1 Behavior of officials on the bench (only head coach can pass instructions to the players
and walk until 6 meters line when his team has possession of the ball. He can’t speak
continuously or shouting. Other officials on the bench can’t speak or walk during the
game. Head coach is responsible for the bench behavior. If he received a red card,
assistant don’t have his privileges on that game. All officials at the bench must use
protection masks over nose and mouth during whole stay at the pool.
3.2 Behavior of the players (must be correct, comments on referee decisions are not
allowed)
3.3 Position of excluded officials or players (three personal fouls-remains on the bench
with cap. Misbehavior, misconduct and brutality- must leave a pool deck area)
3.4 Brutality or red card to the officials, minimum one game suspension

4. WARM UP OF THE TEAMS
4.1 Place for warm up outside and inside the water (check with organizers)

5. PRESENTATION OF THE TEAMS
5.1 Starting time of presentation (check with organizers and TV if it’s present)
5.2 Time when referees will call out from the water the players for presentation (3
minutes before the presentation)
5.3 Meeting point for presentation (check with organizers and TV if it’s present)
5.4 Lines for movement of players before, during and after presentation (check with
organizers and TV if it’s present)

NOTE: Please follow the order for the presentation which is in accordance with the Virtual
meetings of LEN TWPC (February 2021) and instructions given on that occasion.

6. DOPING CONTROL
Doping control can be done at any time during the Tournament or after each single game.
Regulations are according LEN and local authorities.
Team members are obliged to collaborate with local anti-doping authorities.

LEN WATER POLO DELEGATES GAME SHEET

This document is for personal use during the game and to help you to note all necessary details on the game.

*** Please be reminded that after the end of each period you have to check, and compare, all details from your Game Sheet with the person who is entering all data in the online Microplus system and to correct any eventual mistake. At the end of the game, before the Match Report from the Microplus online system is printed out, make the final check, correct any eventual mistake, and then print out the Match Report.

MATCH REPORT FROM MICROPLUS

Match Report from the Microplus online system after printed must be signed by the Referees and Delegate. 

If there is any red card, brutality, exclusion in reason of misbehaviour or misconduct or any other situation for which disciplinary action is needed, it must be written in the Match Report

This Match Report, signed by the Referees and Delegate, has to be sent to the LEN Office immediately after the game on email address: [email protected]

Please be reminded that games for the finals will be registered with a score on the end of the game. To be qualified for the next phase to the finals if in the game aggregate score will be tied, the Penalty Shoot-out has to be applied. 

One more time to underline that aggregate scores means, in case that after two games the teams has equality between scored and received goals, it’s not important which team scored more goals as guest and Penalty shoot-out has to be applied.
